Privacy Policy
Aliis is made by LiPurposeFe LLC. Many people who use Aliis are young people, so we keep this simple: we collect only what Aliis needs to work, we never sell personal information, and we never show ads.
In short: no ads, no selling data, no tracking across other apps or sites, nobody under 13. Credentialers see only what is sent to them. The public ledger holds fingerprints, not your words.
What we collect
- Your log: what you write about each contribution (what, when, where, hours) and the signatures on it.
- Account details: for young people, an account can be anonymous (no email). For credentialers: email, display name, the kind of credentialer, and staff or family members you add.
- Your age band: under 18, or 18 and over. We don’t ask for a birth date.
- Public keys: the public half of signing keys. Private keys are made on your device and stay there; for organization staff signing through our website, keys are stored encrypted on our servers.
- Verification details (verified credentialers only): the result of phone, web-address or identity checks. We keep the result, not copies of ID documents.
- Payment details: handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. We receive your plan, its status and the country for tax. We never see your full card number.
- Technical logs: our hosting providers keep standard logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability.
What is public, and what isn’t
- The public ledger holds a fingerprint of each signed record, the number of signatures and the time. A fingerprint can’t be turned back into your words or your name.
- Credentialers’ facts are public: their display name, credentialer ID, kind, since when, how many credentials, and whether verified.
- Your log is private unless you share it. A share link shows your log to whoever has the link. You can turn a link off anytime.
- Someone confirming from a code sees only that one contribution.
- Credentialers see only contributions sent to them and what they signed, never the rest of a young person’s log.
How we use it
To run Aliis: store your log, check signatures, keep the ledger, show credentialers their own data, handle plans, keep the service secure, and answer your messages. We may study counts and patterns with personal details removed to improve Aliis and for research on contribution and purpose; we don’t publish anything that identifies a person without consent.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that run Aliis for us, under contracts that limit their use of it: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Paddle (payments), and, for verified credentialers, the identity or phone-check provider we use. We’ll share information if the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety. We never sell or rent personal information.
Young people
- Aliis is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 is using Aliis, email us and we’ll delete the account.
- Adults can’t search for, browse or message young people through Aliis.
- Parents and guardians can ask us to see or delete their teen’s information.
Keeping and deleting
You can delete any contribution, or your whole account, anytime. When you do, we delete your words and signatures from our database. Fingerprints already in the public ledger stay, because the ledger can’t be changed, but they reveal nothing on their own. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have more rights; we honor them. We don’t respond to “Do Not Track” signals because we don’t track you across sites.
Security
Records are signed, connections are encrypted, and access to our database is limited by strict rules. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we’ll tell you in Aliis or by email before it takes effect.
